Forbes: A Romanian among the worldâs richest
Dinu Patriciu is the only Romanian to stay in top of "Forbes" world's billionaires. Former Romanian tennis player Ion Tiriac, who counted among the richest people alive, in the last two years, is no longer in "Forbes" top, this year. Last year's edition, businessman Dinu Patriciu was in "Forbes" top with a 2.5 billion dollar fortune, while Ion Tiriac had a 1.2 billion dollar wealth. This year, Patriciu keeps his position in the top with 1.8 billion dollars. World financial crisis redesigned the whole map of the world's richest people. Microsoft magnate Bill Gates with a net 57 billion dollar estimated fortune, has now a 40 billion dollar private budget. Warren Buffet's fortune faced losses of 25 billion dollars, with their company Berkshire Hathaway shares dropping with the capital market. His fortune is now estimated at 37 billion dollars.
